NYSTRS approves additional $25m commitment

The US public pension has increased its commitment in ABRY Advanced Securities Fund IV to $125m.

NYSTRS has agreed to increase its commitment to ABRY Advanced Securities Fund IV by $25 million to $125 million, according to the pension’s January Board meeting minutes. The previous $100 million commitment was made to the fund in July 2018.

The $119.9 billion US public pension has a 1.0 percent target allocation to private debt which currently stands at 0.4 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, NYSTRS made three commitments to private debt funds with a 2018 vintage year, totalling $345 million. Each of these funds are concerned with the corporate sector.
