Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund has approved a commitment of up to $50 million to BlackRock Direct Lending Fund IX, a contact at the pension fund informed Private Debt Investor.

The $15.75 billion US public pension has a 5.0 percent target allocation to private debt that currently stands at 2.40 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, the pension fund has made five commitments to private debt funds with a vintage of 2016 or later, which combined constitute $230 million.
