Paul Hastings poaches three Ashurst partners

All three of the hired executives join the firm’s structured finance practice.

Law firm Paul Hastings has recruited three partners to its structured finance practice based in London.

Michael Smith, Diala Minott and Cameron Saylor all join the team from rival law firm Ashurst.

Smith, who spent more than two decades at Ashurst, specialises in structured finance and securitisation, advising a number of parties including private debt funds.

Minott joined Ashurst in 2004 and was made a partner two years ago, according to her LinkedIn profile. She specialises in advising credit funds and structuring CLOs, as well as working with Luxembourg-regulated funds.

Saylor joined Ashurst at the beginning of last year. His practice has a particular focus on CLOs.

Seth Zachary, chair of Paul Hastings, said: “Our London office is thriving and our leading global finance practice is integral to that growth. Attracting top-tier talent will help us continue to strengthen our finance practice.”
