PDI awards 2019: The deadline is looming!

With the deadline of 10 January approaching fast, don’t forget to register your votes in our annual awards contest.

Voting is now well advanced for our 2019 annual awards, which this year give due recognition to the asset class’s trailblazers in some 47 different categories.

You have until Friday, 10 January (midnight PST) to vote, but far better to get the job done now than wait until the last minute. To place your votes, please go HERE.

We are proud to say that our awards are now into their seventh year, and they continue to gather momentum. Last year saw a record number of more than 8,000 votes and we are hopeful of surpassing that figure this time round. At the last count, we were heading towards 6,000 with just over a week to go.

The 2018 awards featured companies such as Golub Capital, which picked up its fourth Lender of the Year accolade in the Americas category, adding to its tally of 12 awards.

There was also Asia’s SSG, our most prolific winner overall with 13 awards, which has picked up Distressed Debt Investor of the Year for its region every year since its inception. The only other firm to come close to this kind of record is Oaktree Capital, which has consistently won the Distressed Debt Investor of the Year for the Americas category.

All these firms are contenders once more, although – as always – we have plenty of newcomers jostling for a first-time victory. We wait with bated breath to see who will be popping champagne corks when the results are announced at the beginning of March.

We would like to wish our readers a very happy new year.
