In our weekly digests over the Christmas and New Year period, we drew attention to some of the exceptionally close races that have been unfolding – and hence why only a small number of votes could yet make a very big difference.

This remains the case, and, while perusing the latest tallies, PDI was struck by another category in which the gaps between all four contenders have narrowed with Dechert, Freshfields, Hogan Lovells and King & Wood Mallesons all competing fiercely for the title of Asia Pacific law firm of the year.

In our 2016 awards, Golub Capital won four awards, while SSG and Citi took three each and multiple others ended up with two awards to their name. We will soon know the identity of 2017’s big winners – make sure you have played your part!
