Pemberton appoints COO

The asset manager has appointed a former Brewin Dolphin executive to serve as chief operating officer.

Pemberton Asset Management has appointed Thomas Lack to the position of chief operating officer, according to a company announcement. Lack previously served in the same capacity at Brewin Dolphin.

Lack is replacing Christopher Higgins in the COO role. Higgins is remaining with Pemberton, taking on the position of head of strategy.

A spokesman for Brewin Dolphin did not return requests for comments regarding Lack’s departure by time of publication.

The hire is the latest in a spate of recruitment activity from London-based Pemberton. In December, the firm appointed Robin Challis as a portfolio manager from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

That hire followed bringing in Ben Gulliver from ANZ Bank and Nicole Gates from GE Capital in the latter part of 2016.
