Pembrook Capital Management has appointed Lisa Davis as director of investor relations and specialty investment originations.
Her role at the firm will include liaising with investors and drawing up loans that will assist low-income communities in their revival. She joins from the Ford Foundation, where she served as a program officer. Across her 15-year career in commercial real estate lending, she has directed investments to deprived neighbourhoods and helped with improving the standard of housing.
Stuart Boesky, chief executive at Pembrook, said: “Corporate citizenship through lending that promotes affordable housing, job creation and that reinvigorates communities has always been a part of the Pembrook DNA. Her diversity of experience, skill set and stature in the industry will make her an important addition to our team as we execute on our present and future initiative.”
The appointment follows an announcement from the firm earlier this summer that it has originated more than $1 billion of loans across 86 transactions since it was established a decade ago. Notable deals concluded in the last year included a $16.6 million loan on the Mark Twain Hotel in Chicago and a $30.4 million bridge loan on the Madison Oaks Apartment complex located in Tampa, Florida.
Pembrook lends across all parts of the capital structure, arranging first mortgages, mezzanine, bridge loans and preferred equity instruments.
