Polaris launches $164m private debt vehicle

The Copenhagen-based fund manager launches an inaugural fund to explore debt opportunities across the Nordic regions.

Polaris Equity announced the launch of its inaugural private debt vehicle in May, according to a press release issued by the fund manager. The fund will explore investments in the subordinated loan capital (junior capital, etc) and minority shareholdings across Nordic medium-sized companies with flexible capital for growth and capital structure optimisation.

Polaris Flexible Capital will typically invest around DKr50 million-DKr200 million tailored to the companies’ capital structure as well as minority shareholdings. The firm is expecting to complete capital raising no later than Q3 2021. According to Private Debt Investor data, there are currently 13 other funds in market with similar region and strategy focuses.
