Proskauer hires corporate finance partner in Asia

Joshua Zimmerman has joined law firm Proskauer’s Hong Kong office. The corporate finance specialist will help build out its capital markets practice in Asia.

International law firm Proskauer has hired Joshua Zimmerman as corporate finance partner to lead the firm’s capital market practice in Asia.

Zimmerman joins Proskauer from the Hong Kong office of the international law firm Milbank. He has been based in Hong Kong since 1997 and has experience across a variety of corporate finance transactions in the region. 

His expertise includes high yield bonds, liability management, leveraged finance, acquisition finance and sovereign debt transactions. He also advised on equity issues for both Hong Kong listings and SEC-registered offerings, the firm said in a statement.

“Josh’s experience in equity and debt capital markets and acquisition finance, his long-term presence in the Asia region and his strong relationships with the banking community will be instrumental to the growth of our transactional offering in Asia,” commented Yuval Tal, head of Proskauer’s Hong Kong and Beijing offices.

Proskauer is an international law firm with over 700 lawyers worldwide. The firm opened its Hong Kong office in 2008 and its Beijing office in 2012.
