SCERS has approved 2024 private debt pacing plan

The US public pension fund will target $160m to private debt, making commitments to four funds.

In its 2023 Year in Review and 2024 Annual Investment Plan, SCERS outlined the following for its 2024 plan: it will target $160 million to private debt, making commitments to four funds, with an average of $40 million per fund. SCERS expects to reach a 5% target in 2026, and will continue to be selective in making new commitments, focusing on specialist managers in corporate lending experience. It will make follow-on investments to existing managers/strategies.
