School Employees’ Retirement System of Ohio has agreed to commit $50 million to Oaktree Special Situations Fund II, according to the pension’s latest meeting minutes.

Oaktree Capital Management’s second series fund will focus on acquiring North American distressed debt.

As illustrated below, the pension has made six commitments to private debt funds with a 2015 vingtage or later, which combined constitute $269 million.
