Singapore agency launches $368m venture debt programme

DBS Bank, OCBC Bank and United Overseas Bank will jointly support innovative start-ups and growth enterprises.

SPRING Singapore, an agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, has launched a S$500 million (€321 million; $368 million) Venture Debt Programme (VDP) with three domestic banks.

According to a statement, DBS Bank (DBS), OCBC Bank (OCBC) and United Overseas Bank (UOB) will complete about S$500 million-worth of venture debt loans – numbering around 100 – over the next two years.
