Chicago-headquartered Victory Park Capital (VPC) has named Jason Brown as partner, bolstering the firm’s efforts to expand into the western region of the US, it said in a statement.
Brown, who has extensive experience in mid-market lending, will lead VPC’s new office in Los Angeles. The firm already has resources in LA, San Francisco and Boston.
Brown spent more than 10 years at alternative lender GE Capital. During his tenure, he was managing director in corporate and restructuring finance.
VPC’s chief executive and founder Richard Levy commented in a statement: “[Brown’s] track record in the middle-market, specifically in providing alternative financing strategies that support growth, acquisitions, turnarounds and balance sheet optimisation, more than exemplifies his capabilities. I look forward to his partnership in driving continued opportunities for our firm and our growing platform in the Western region.”
Prior to GE Capital, Brown was alternate group manager at Comerica Bank. He also served as the president of the Los Angeles chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) where he is a current Los Angeles chapter and global board member.
Brown said: “VPC is a leader in servicing the middle market. I hope to leverage my experience in providing structured financing solutions to a diversified client base among mid-size US companies that help maximize flexibility and liquidity for our portfolio of clients.”
